What does a “good day” look like to two photographers? An afternoon wandering around on a Blue Ridge Parkway photo shoot, of course! We had spent four relaxing days at a mountain cabin with friends and decided to spend an afternoon shooting on the way home.
The first stop was on the Blue Ridge Parkway to take advantage of the perfect weather – blue sky with just enough clouds to give some interest. The overlook we started with was a little crowded but we were able to get some wide-angle shots that were worth keeping. You get used to people looking at you funny when you squat down to change an angle, lay in the grass or are taking pictures of a barbed wire fence – it just goes with the territory.
Here are a few of the shots we liked from the afternoon.
